You can find this bridge by going south on 5th Street and turning right at the river (Tredegar Street). Go past Tredegar Iron Works and park in the lot by the bridge. A ramp to the bridge is just beyond. It will take you to one of Richmond's hidden jewels, Bell Isle. While you can walk around Belle Isle in 15 minutes, you can spend hours exploring it. The Hollywood rapids are next door and large rocks to relax on or take a swim by. Watch out for high water and stay dry when the level is over 5 feet. It's better to watch and enjoy than take a chance in the powerful current. Belle Isle is open seven days a week during daylight hours. Come enjoy one of Richmond's worst kept secrets.
