Almost four years ago, on another website, I published a list of things that were unique and cool about Richmond. Later I cross posted it hear and it has been the most viewed listing ever on All Things Richmond. Four years later, there are things missing and things new I have learned about. So starting from scratch here are my new favorite things about Richmond.
- Louisiana Flair - It's my opinion, no matter where you live, you should be on very good terms with someone who can cook, Cajun, creole or otherwise. Trust me on this.
- Monroe Park
- Spring Park - Gabriel's Park
- Pony Pasture
- Richmond's Falcons
- The new Richmond.com
- Style Magazine
- Movieland
- The Westhampton
- First Fridays
- The Virginia Museum of Fine Art
- The Virginia History Museum
- The Children's Museum of Richmond
- Manchester
- Shockoe Slip
- Chimborazo Park
- Libby Hill
- Shockoe Hill Cemetery
- The John Marshall House
- The New Miller & Rhoads Hotel/Condos
- Pumphouse Park
- The Blue Heron Rookery on the James River*
- Tredegar Iron Works and the Richmond Civil War Center
- Richmond Battlefield National Park
- The National, Capital Ale House and any other venue that hosts music downtown..
There 25 more off the top of my head.
*Hats of to Rex Springston of the RTD for this item and inspiring the new list.

More things I love aboot Richmond:

-UKROP'S
-The way that the older Richmonders say "bless his/her heart" before they insult someone
-VCU HIPSTERS
-A great live music scene (well, not really)
-We're better than Roanoke, Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, or Rocky Mount, NC without even trying
-If somebody is changing a light bulb, you can bet there's some Richmonder talking about how great the old one was.
-The snow melts as quickly as it comes, and everything shuts down for days
-Your first name sounds like a last name
-North Carolinians are close enough to make fun of.
Peace.
