Black History Museum & Cultural Center of Virginia
00 Clay Street The Black History Museum invites you to the opening reception of two new exhibitions that explore the nature of African American domestic work as well as its public and private dimensions.

The exhibitions open on First Fridays August 7, 2009 with a reception from 6:00-8:30 pm, and is free and open to the public.

Poe's Playground is a satellite exhibition at the Linden Row Inn presented by 1708 Gallery. Linden Row’s lovely outdoor courtyard is the perfect spot to meet friends or make new ones during First Fridays. On August 7, enjoy live jazz by the Connor Thompson Jazz Guitar Duo performing between 6-11pm. Grab a glass of wine or cold beer from their cash bar and make a night of it under the coming full moon!
